total bummer dude! not only is it a lovely spring day out while i'm terribly sick, stuck inside, and missing a whole lot of class and assigments, i just did my taxes. it was a total wash, maaaaan. got 40 back from my federal taxes, but then owed 39 to the state- amounting to a full dollar refund. dammit! i found more money lying in the street last year. ugh.

ohhh jessica! where have you beeeeeen allll weekend!?! hahaha.. i was taking all those stupid tests at thespark.com, too. but for the gender test, i came up just about center between all the pink and blue dots. they did guess that i was a woman, though. but the percentage was really low. ~_^ androdgeny..
it's one of those terrible nights. i have a cold or the flu or something. i sleep for an hour, and wake up either sweating to death or freezing. forget about school tomorrow. i don't think i can do the 9 hours straight of classes plus two train rides, feeling like this. or we'll end up with a repeat of what happened my first year of college..
today i went to the philadelphia art museum and saw the Alice Neel exhibit, and then i went to sit in on a lecture about her and women portrait painters. it was actually pretty neat, and some of the things she talked about might help me with the paper i'm currently working on in writing class. also, the lady giving the lecture, Linda Nochlin, which i didn't realize until i got to the lecture, is the author of a book that i just started reading-- "women, art, power, and other essays." kind of a neat surprise. or so _i_ thought.
anyway, i'm going to redo the colours of my page now. i definitely can't deal with the blue text-on-orange background with this headache i've got. :(

just so y'all non art students know, blue and orange are complimentary colours. when you put them next to each other, they 'vibrate..' so if you're wondering why you can't focus or your head hurts right now...
